WASHINGTON<\/span><\/b>,\u00a0November\u00a020, 2025<\/span><\/b>\u00a0\u2014\u00a0The American Clean Power Association (ACP) today announced that\u00a0Melanie LaCount\u00a0will join the organization as Chief\u00a0of Staff\u00a0for\u00a0Communications.\u00a0With over\u00a0two decades\u00a0of experience in\u00a0energy policy,\u00a0strategic communications,\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>building teams that produce innovative and impactful results,\u00a0LaCount\u00a0will\u00a0support the association\u2019s efforts to communicate the impact of\u00a0clean energy to drive economic growth, create jobs, and strengthen communities.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe are thrilled to welcome Melanie to ACP,\u201d said\u00a0<\/span>Artealia<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0Gilliard, ACP’s Chief Communications Officer<\/strong>. \u201cMelanie\u00a0<\/span>is\u00a0<\/span><\/span>an accomplished policy and communications leader whose career has centered on advancing clean energy<\/span><\/span>. As our industry looks to communicate with new audiences, her leadership is the boost of energy we need.\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n While at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, LaCount helped shape national energy and environmental policy and led teams to advance environmental progress. She holds a Master of Arts in Public Policy from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from Duke University. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI am honored to join the American Clean Power Association at such a critical time for American energy.
